Natural stone materials such as marble usually have high density and low water absorption rate. When laying, high requirements are placed on the bonding performance of ceramic tile adhesive. For the selection of tile adhesive, the following suggestions are comprehensive.

1. High adhesion

Compared to ordinary ceramic tiles, natural stone materials such as marble are heavier and larger in size, requiring high adhesion tile adhesive to ensure their firmness. It is recommended to choose C2 grade high-strength ceramic tile adhesive and apply it together with two-component ceramic tile backing adhesive to further enhance the bonding strength and make the paving more stable.

2. Anti leakage color

Natural stone, especially light colored stone, is prone to color bleeding problems. White or tile adhesive with anti-seepage color function should be selected for construction to avoid gray tile adhesive penetrating the surface of the stone and affecting its appearance.

When laying natural stones such as marble, attention should be paid to:

1. Clean the base layer to ensure that it is flat, clean, dust-free, and free of oil stains.

2. Strictly mix the ceramic tile adhesive according to the water cement ratio. The mixed ceramic tile adhesive should not be left for too long. It is best to complete the construction within 1 hour. It is forbidden to mix the already set materials with water again.

3. Use thin pasting method for construction to ensure full contact between tile adhesive and tiles, avoiding hollowing.

4. The range of each batch of tile adhesive should not be too large. It is recommended to control the construction area of each batch to about 1 square meter to avoid surface drying and solidification.
